Some scary sh*t

I LOVE scary movies.  Sara and I made the mistake of going to see Paranormal Activity last fall at a midnight showing the first weekend it was released in Dallas (before all the hype.)  It was the scariest movie I'd ever seen.

Now with a bigger budget (which could be good or bad) the trailer for Paranormal Activity 2, due in theaters in October, has been released.  Check it out below.

Pizza and salad, what's better than that?

One of my favorite pizza spots is Eno's in Bishop Arts.  It is also my parents new favorite and last Saturday we went with our best family friends, the Manson's, for dinner.  The food is so good, and it is all almost exclusively created with organic, local ingredients.  We had a couple salads and two pizzas to share.  And of course, too much wine, a viognier from a local Texas brand called Mcpherson.  The entire meal was just excellent.  Check it out if you haven't been!

We had a lovely table in the corner

This is the Small Farm Salad.  It rocked

Song o' the weekend

This song gets an entire weekend dedicated to it

High School memories

So today I got to thinking about some of my coworkers.  There are two very distinct groups of people I find in my workplace.  Those of us who peaked in high school and those of us who did not.  Luckily for myself, being Colorguard captain at The Colony High School was not the highlight of my life.  Below are some of my favorite high school peakers.

Did anyone ever believe these kids were actually in high school in the first place?

I don't even have a comment for this one.

Ahh, Brenda Walsh.  You are my idol.

Tell all!

Who feels the sh*t strom brewing!?

He left her, really!?  I think he's the crazy.

He's a classic red-flag ignorer.  (I don't know anyone like that.)  Good news though, Jake still 'believes in love.'  Ya, with other dudes... or cats.

Another highlight of my summer

I'm so super excited about this crap.  Look what ABC released today.  A promo photo of the cast for the upcoming summer series Bachelor Pad.

The should just call this show Free Valtrex.

Check out the crazies below.

Remember Elizabeth 'no I will not kiss you, but you can makeout with my forehead' from Jake's season?

Or what about Jonathan 'the crying weatherman' from Ali's season?

Or what about Wes 'the country singer with a secret girlfriend' from Jillian's season?

Party!

The celebrity gossip gods must have heard my prayers while I was looking for something to write about today.  Guess who broke up!!  Bachelor Jake and Vienna!

Did anyone really think this was gonna last?

So far, there are no details, but I'm betting on a full out sh*t-storm on this one!  Jake, is currently in Hot-lanta filming a guest role on the Lifetime series, Drop Dead Diva.  Now, I watch a LOT of crap on tv... but I can't stomach this show.  It's a hot mess.

Let's all remember the good times with a little song called On the Wings of Love

I'm just inconsolable over this

9am in Dallas

A visit to the Bra Fairy

On Saturday I spent some fun time w/ Patty (mamacita) at Stonebriar mall.  We both hate the mall on a Saturday, it's crowded and hot and just kind of gross.  We pretty much confined our errands to Nordstrom and actually got a lot of great stuff.  I got shoes for Lindsay's wedding, a couple summer dresses and most importantly, I got fitted in the delicates department for new bras!  Any gentleman reading this are more than welcome to skip to my next post right about now!

So if you are like most girls, myself included, you probably have a drawer full of various undergarments.  Lacey, solid, bows, stretchy, structured, ruffles, washers (washers!?)  Also, if your drawer is like mine... you may have a wide range of sizes.  B's, C's, D's, DD's, H (for Heidi!)  Ok, so I exaggerated a little

Nordstrom is awesome, in more ways than one of course, but they have these amazing Bra Whisperers.  Yes, I made that up.  These gals know their stuff though.  I got measured and found out I was wearing the completely wrong size!  No wonder Patty keeps telling me that I 'look kinda funny.'  Anyway, then my magic Bra Fairy starts bringing me style after style in my correct size.  (Snug band ladies!)  I ended up with 3 new pretty bras, in the right size, all for different occasions!

Below are some helpful hints if you don't go visit a Bra-ista.

Also, have any of you checked out Betsey Johnson intimates?  Soooo super cute!

How cool is Betsey?!

Gelato

On a trip to Whole Foods last night, I decided to get something I rarely ever buy.  Dessert.  I've tried this brand before at Eatzi's, but last night I got a big-girl container.  Talenti Gelato in Double Dark Chocolate.
This stuff is awesome.  It has little chocolate chunks in it too.

Delray/Miami Beach

Back from Florida.  Sara's wedding was perfect and I got to see Mer, Denney and Whit in Miami.  A great week away from Dallas!

Summer read

I got a new book!  It just came out yesterday and I got the last copy at Target.  Can I get a 'hell yah' ?!

The book is called The Passage and is by Justin Cronin.

"The Passage, at 784 pages, begins an epic about an apocalypse that follows when a virus escapes from a top-secret U.S. government test facility. In the deadly landscape, the only infected person who doesn't become vampirelike is a 6-year-old orphan girl - who just may save humanity."

I love vampire sh*t.  I'm about 3 chapters in and am LOVING this read.  I'll keep you all posted on how I like it.  So far, it's pretty awesome.

Blast-from-the-Past Pic o' the Day

So many things wrong with this picture.  Senior Year.

Big girl project

My first Photoshop project:

This is proof one.  I am making changes tonight and will post proof two.  What do you all think?

How's my rear lookin?

Look what I got!

How cute are these?  I got these at Nordstrom during their Half-Yearly Sale for women.  Best part?  They were half-price and only $48!

This is a very cool brand.  The premium line, launched in winter 2009, is sold exclusively at Nordstrom.  Denim veterans Michael Glasser and Joie Rucker (designers of Rich & Skinny, 7 for All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity) have created this line that retails around $100 a pair or less!  And, they make my butt look cute.

I'm only a dolphin, ma'am

I'm about to be a super busy girl.  This Friday I'm going to Austin to celebrate Lindsay's Bachelorette Party.  Road trip!!  Speaking of road trips, see clip below from one of my favorite stupid boy movies of all time... Road Trip:

Does that get you in the mood to take a 3 hour drive or what?!  In Austin we will be hitting 6th Street of course and renting a 'party barge' on Saturday afternoon.  I've been assured that there will be shade on this 'barge.'  I'm still a little clueless as to what exactly this boat will look like.  I hope it's not like this:

This trip looks super fun

Kidding.  I'll be sure to wear my floaties and will be sending my phone number out to neighboring boats full of boys via paper airplanes.  (Kidding again... sorta.)

Speaking of those... this cracks me up everytime:
