Five Sixty

So last night I went to Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty at the top of Reunion tower.  Eight of us gals from worked walked over from TDMN for a little birthday happy hour for our friend Danielle.  I haven't been up to the top of the tower since back in the good old days when it was Antari's and it was the cool place to go before the Homecoming dance.

This is our first round of appetizers.  We had about 12.

Five Sixty is totally rad.  During happy hour, select wines and appetizers are all priced at just $5.60 each!  We sat on some cozy couches near the window and admired the Dallas skyline as we slowly spun in circles.  The crowd was diverse and our waitress was darling.  We had a great time.  Check if out if you haven't been yet!

Flu shot soap box

Get your damn flu shots people.  I know there is this silly video going around about the girl who got her flu shot and then couldn't walk anymore.  BUT, she could walk backwards and she could run like an Olympian.   Really?  I know, I know, it was on Inside Edition, and we believe everything on Inside Edition right?  I'm not even going to post the link the the video, it's so ridiculous.  Ok- I'm off my soap box.  In all honesty though, get your flu shot this year.  I get mine every year and only last year I was blessed with H1N1 because the second H1N1 shot was still in mass production when that nasty bug decide to knock me out for 5 days.

And, if you don't want to get it, then don't go around telling people not to get it too.  The flu sucks.  Do you really think a little inactive virus is gonna cause the entire nation to start running around backwards.  I don't think so.

Gleeked out

These passionate, break-out into song moments did not happen in the halls of my high school unfortunately.

Bad Brad

I don't think I've missed an episode of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette in the past 212 season or however many there have been.  I am a junkie.  I'll admit it, I like crap tv and as cynical as I am about these train wrecks looking for love on tv, I just can't get enough.

In breaking (well Reality Steve tweeted this two days ago) news, it's has been confirmed that Brad Womack will be returning to ABC to find the woman of his dreams.  Yes, that Brad, Texas Brad, the one who didn't pick Jenni or DeAnna a few years back.  I for one, am excited that ABC is stirring things up.  Women hated this guy when he dumped two great girls after making out with them in the hot tub for 6 weeks.  I think a little controversy will do the franchise some good.

Look at that face.  How can you be upset at that face!?  Someone sign me up.  I'm ready to do my video... who wants to hold the camera for me?

Song o' the Week!

Song o' the week is back too!  I LOVE this song.  I know it's on the radio every 5 minutes but I just love it.  If you look close you can see me in the background of the video dancing... ok, not really.  But a girl can dream!

Photoshop

I've been taking Photoshop class at SMU with my friend Kati for the past couple weeks.  It is super!  I had no idea how much cool stuff you could do in the program.  Last night we learned how to make make people look 15 years younger.  We transformed 'Arnold' from Adobe programmer nerd to Match.com ready!  We removed wrinkles, evened skin tone, changed his eye color and just prettied him up!

I'm going boot crazy this year.  I think I've rounded out my collection finally with black, gray and taupe boots in various heights.  Over-the-knee, calf and bootie height.  So excited to put these in the rotation when it finally get cooler here.
